We have the following Clinical Staff:
- 8 GPs
- 2 Nurse Practitioners
- 1 Registered Practice Nurse
- 3 Healthcare Assistants
- 1 Practice Pharmacists and 2 PCN Pharmacists
Registrars
Registrars are fully qualified Doctors who have chosen to specialise and undertake further training in General Practice. We usually have two registrars at the practice – they work independently and have their own clinics but can seek advice and guidance form the other GPs when required.
From time to time the Registrars will request permission from patients to video a consultation – this is a very effective training tool and much valued by the Registrars. Please let us know if you would prefer not to have your consultation recorded.
Students
Medical Students and Pharmacy students from Newcastle and Northumbria Universities are placed at the practice throughout the year. They will sit in and observe our clinical team – they do not work independently.
If there is a student scheduled to be present during your consultation you will be advised of this – please let us know if you would prefer not to have the student in attendance.
Please be reassured that all visiting staff and students are bound by the same standards of confidentiality as our permanent staff.
Staff Training and Development
As a practice we understand the value of education and training for all staff and make sure that we dedicate time each week to staff and practice development. We also have one afternoon each month that we get together with other GP Practice teams to share knowledge and expertise.
