Travel Vaccinations

In line with current NHS England regulations, only the following vaccinations are available free of charge on the NHS.

  • diphtheria, polio and tetanus (combined booster)
  • typhoid
  • hepatitis A
  • cholera

It is important to get your vaccinations as early as possible – at least 6 weeks before you travel.

If you require any other vaccinations relating to foreign travel you will need to obtain these from a private clinic. You can find out which vaccinations are necessary or recommended for the areas you are travelling to by visiting the Travel Health Pro website.

Private Services

Not all of the Practice work is paid for by the NHS, some services must be funded privately. The fees for these services are available from  Reception and on our website, they may be subject to change. Test Results

If your doctor thinks your blood, urine etc needs testing, you will be asked to make an appointment with the Health Care Assistant and your  sample will be sent to the laboratory. To obtain the results please telephone reception on 0191 4772243 between 9:30am – 6:00 pm Monday to Friday.
